School homecoming
1.What is homecoming?
Homecoming is an annual tradition in the United States.High schools, and colleges come together, usually in late September or early October, to welcome back alumni and former residents.
2.What is homecomings history?
Homecoming originally started in alumni football games held at colleges and universities in the 19th century.
3.Why do we celebrate homecoming in schools?
When celebrated by schools, they usually come after a football game played on a school's home football field, activities for students and alumni, a parade  featuring the school's marching band and sports teams, and the coronation of a Homecoming Queen and King.  A dance follows the game or the day following the game. When attached to a football game, Homecoming traditionally occurs on the team's return from the longest road trip of the season. The game itself, whether it be football will typically feature the home team playing a considerably weaker opponent. The game is supposed to be an "easy win" and thus weaker schools will sometimes play lower division schools.
4?what are some homecoming events?
all homecomings have similar events a football game served as a center point; the events included rallies, parades, speeches and dances; the events intended to unite alumni and students to create a stronger sense of school pride; and they were wildly successful
5.why is it called a homecoming game ?
Its called a homecoming game because it occurs a day before the homecoming dance.
6.describe homecoming etiquette.
Most homecoming dances are semi-formal, although each school will specify its own dress code.
My opinion on homecoming is that it’s a really cool event and i am looking foward to going to my homecoming.
