WHAT COUNTRIES FOUGHT AGAINST WHOM IN WWII?
World War 2 was fought between two groups of countries.The Axis Powers, including Germany, Italy and Japan. And the Allies which included Britain, France, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, India, the Soviet Union, China and the United States of America.
WHERE DID WWII OCCUR?
World War II took place across the globe but it mostly took place in Europe, east asia, and islands in the pacific ocean.
NAME AND DESCRIBE A FEW EVENTS THAT HAPPENED DURING WWII?
- Germany invaded poland
- On June 22, 1941, four million troops poured over the Russian border. Within one month, over two and half million Russians had been killed, wounded or captured.
- Enola Gay dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan on August 6, 1945, killing about 78,000 people and injuring 100,000 more. On August 9, a second bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, Japan, killing another 40,000 people.

- Attend a Veteran’s Day event.
- Ask a Veteran about their time in the military, and really listen to the answer.
- Hang a flag in your yard..
- Visit a homebound Veteran in their home, talk with them, and thank them for their service.
- Take a Veteran out to dinner
