what this quote means to me is that you should not put your goals last. If you want to succeed in life then you should not procrastinate or it will affect you. For example if you know you have a lot of homework, but you want to message your friend,you should always go with your homework because your grade depends on it and your future depends on your grade. You should always think about what your goals are and what activities you want to do at the moment and you will sere that your grade is way more important. You can always text your friends after you are done with your responsibilities. Another example for this quote would be when you are at school. If you know you may only make up an important quiz after school but you really want to go hang out with your friends you have to think about your education and where your grades will led you to. Your future is more important than your friendship. If “your friends” are really your friends then they will do nothing but understand that the reason you are not “kicking it with them” is because you have you focus on your education and keep your grades up. When you do this you will not only make you happy but it will also make your parents happy. You will also show others that you are responsible and a good student.this is also proving those who didn't believe in you wrong . this is what i think this quote is trying to state.

You should not let others bad acts influence what it is that you do. Like people say."If your friend jumps off a bridge are you going to do the same?" Dont be a follower. Be a leader and you will succeed. Those who are doing bad are not going to succeed. What the second part of this quote means is that you have to lead the way. Also it means to not be afraid to stand out even if others think its weird. You know what is good for you and therefore you should do whats going to keep you on the right path.
